March Job Openings and Hires Changed Little

In March, the number of job openings in the US remained relatively stable at 8.5 million, according to the Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey by the US Bureau of Labor Statistics. Hires and total separations saw little change, with quits and layoffs remaining steady. Job openings decreased in construction and finance but increased in state and local government education. February’s data was revised slightly, with job openings revised up and hires and separations revised down.
