U.S. economic growth expectations have improved slightly, with forecasters predicting real GDP to increase 1.9% in 2025 and 1.8% in 2026, both modestly higher than previous estimates. Unemployment projections remain steady at 4.2% for 2025 and 4.5% for 2026. While the economy is expected to grow, job gains are showing signs of slowing. Forecasts now predict only 30,800 new jobs per month in the current quarter and reduced employment growth through 2026, with projected monthly gains of 125,100 in 2025 and just 55,200 in 2026.
